LUX H8 rings on the z4 anyone?
Hi guys,
I am wondering, has anyone tried the LUX h8 rings on the z4? The product webpage is here: http://www.namotorsports.net/detail....rt_cd/MDSLUXH8 Since it is also h8, I am guessing it is suppose to fit the z4? I emailed the vendor and they cannot guarantee they will fit. Don't want to spend like 250 USD (including shipping) to find out that they don't work.. Thanks in advance. Eric |

From what my Calgary sales rep (who accels in lighting accessories) have been telling us that the RD LED H8 upgrade is the best bang for buck for anyone looking to "whiten" their angel eyes.
http://www.e92-lighting.com/products..._E82-5-20.html We ordered a set for our Z4 project and they are currently in transit. Will post pics as soon as we have them installed. |

Thanks Lewis! Definitely post some pictures once you got them installed.
would be better if you could also post a picture with the stock and the RD LED on each side Cheers, Eric |

I'm the maker of the LUX H8 led angel eyes.
I do know that BMW has designed a lot of their headlights differently, so the LUX H8's will probably fit into place, however i'm not exactly sure how they will look. If your interested in testing it you can, and we can talk about a return policy if your not satisfied. |

Here are some pictures I took of the light housing. Hopefully Marc can chime in about
1) The fitment issue NVRS8TFD had. 2) Based on the position of the fiber optic, whether the LEDs on the LUX H8's are positioned for maximum light output. I don't know the orientation of the fiber optics for the e92 and maybe they're positioned different and the LUX H8s were designed for max output on those, i.e. LEDs mounted 180 degrees opposite each other. The Z4's fiber optic don't appear to be positioned that way. Engine Bay: Right Housing: Left Housing: Right Housing Top Inscrewed: Left Housing Top Unscrewed: |

...and I was hoping someone could read it and translate. Anyway, these guys can do great things including programming your mirrors to fold when locking and some other cool stuff.

Just wondering if anyone here can help me..
I managed to take off the left h8 bulb by twisting it 90 degres to the right just like the manual states. Took 10 seconds.. But when i go to do the same on the right hand side of the h8 bulb it wont come off because there is not enough clearance space to twist it 90 degress to the right..It will twist only 5 degress. I tried twisting to the left too because there is physical clearance but it doesnt twist off in that direction.. If you look at the right housing photo posted by KINetics(pic 4) there are two screws to each side of the plug of the bulb. The bulb on the right side will hit the screw..no clearance.. Hope i was clear enough.. How did you guys do it? Please help or suggestions? Thanks! |

What I did was slide a small flat head screw driver and wedged it in as leverage, push and the OEM bulb should turn. Putting the new bulb in is definitely the tougher part and may require a little bit of modification to the tabs of the new bulb. Good luck! |
