Who's got the fastest/most modded E89?

I'm wondering which forum member (or hearsay elsewhere) has the fastest and/or most modded E89?

Please list year, transmission, mods, and all measurable metrics if possible...

As for myself, just on cosmetic mods for now.

Debadged 3.0..must have picked up 20-30 hp from that mod by streamlining the car.
(and it doesn't look like I'm in a "base" model...might even pass for a 35is?)

You got me ! I can only dream about a mod like that.....

I painted my rims black, which contributed to an INSTANT power gain of 30 HP/35 Ib ft torque. The black performance grilles also threw an extra 15/20 on top of all that. Now I just need to buy an M badge, I'm thinking I could squeeze out another 50/60 with that. It's safe to say I will easily have the fastest car on Zpost, maybe even on bimmerpost.

This section hasnt been conducive to me finding a lot of info on mods.

Most here dont seem to be the "modder" type. When people do mention mods they get a lot of "why would you do that" or "you mean you didnt leave it stock?"

Im looking at trading my 135i for a Z4 when I get back to the states in a couple months and have been in here a lot reading up and it has been painful to say the least. Even more so since im coming from such a tuner happy group in 1addicts.

Yeah, that's because most of us actually worked in order to be able to drive these cars.

You can use all of the tech from the 135 DCT or other N54 cars for engine mods (unless you are going for a very extreme build, the mod path has been laid out elsewhere in great detail for this drivetrain), there are some members here with suspension mods who I'm sure would share their info.

@keepittrill you live in an awesome world if the majority of the under 30 people you know have the $$ to get a E89 and modify it

Yes, and like I said, from what im used to in 1addicts is a huge leap down in terms of tuning.

Its also interesting to see ESS and Evolve getting so much love when they are twice the price or more of a more than capable JB4. These are the same engines in the 1's and 3's so why so a drastic difference in mod preferences.

I guess my two deployments to Afghanistan and my wife working a full time job while raising our daughter means my 135i and X3 35i were just handed to me.

GTFO with that shit.

Go to 1addicts or e90post and tell me this isnt an entirely different world. It DOES have to do with the age of the owners, but if someone under 30 (im 28) wants a Z4 it causes us to have to hunt harder for others that have modded them.

This is pretty much my plan.

Looking at getting a 6MT and then doing AR downpipes, EVO charge pipe with TIAL BOV, BMS DCI, VRSF FMIC and JB4 G5 ISO with E85 wires.

N54 1er guys are making over 400rwhp with those mods. From there it will be getting the same APEX ARC 8 wheels that are on my 135i but in a width more appropriate for the Z. Stuff the widest tire I can under there and call it a day.

Gotta wait until September though most likely. I get back from Germany in late August and my 135 wont make it back until September at some point im sure.
