My BMW Z4 sDrive35is

Greetings from the Netherlands!

This topic is made for my BMW Z4's. Started with an Z4 3.0i aut from 2005:

Drove it for half a year and started looking for a facelift model Z4 3.0Si aut. Found a 2006 model:

Being just a bit faster, I started missing my old turbo-powered cars. I needed something with more torque. So after a year I found a fantastic 2010 Z4 sDrive35is:

Reprogrammed the software to Dutch and also upgraded everything to the latest software. Unfortunately no cruise control! How is that possible??

I retrofitted it :

Steeringwheel off:

Old and new handles next to eachother:

Done!

Coding:

Note: There's no need to swap the tacho unit!

Because the weather is currently horrible in the Netherlands, some extra pics I took in the garage.

Updated the card material to v2013:

Updating takes ages btw!

Code lost: cards worthless :

During my wait I took some shots with my cellphone because I like the details so much:

Buttons:

Buttons part 2:

Heated steeringwheel is the best unneccesary option I've ever seen. Like it!

DVD changer.... what do you need that for in such a car??

Great 19 inch rims:

Light units:

Interior:

Hope you like the pics. Some plans:
- Thinking about removing secondary cats and replace with straigt pipe
- Additional cooling
- Schmickler Tuning (German tuner, with great reputation on German Z4 forum)

Does anyone have partnumbers or links for a straight pipe or air intake? I don't like cutting in the original parts.

Many thanks!! Last Sunday I had my first roofless drive at just around freezing temperature, but it was soooo sunny. Heater set to max, heated the seats and steeringwheel heating on, took my sunglasses and enjoyed the drive and sound a lot again.

Can't wait for the wetter to get better. It's now 3 days later and there's 3 inches of snow here .

The only issue i see here is that its not the flat black plastic but is polished and stand on the z4 is flat black.

beautiful car!
One question: after the retrofit of cruise control, have you coded the car from BMW service or from an indipendent?
Thank you for your reply and for showing your 35is.

You can find them on realoem.com. Why I can't give it to you is because it really depends on what options you have. Rain sensor, heated steeringwheel etc. etc. The electronics are all in the handles so depending on your options you have to order a different partnumber.

RealOEM was clear.... if I can find it out.... you can .

regarding the from M bumper

Hey Toink,

I was wondering if the front bumper side spacing gaps are a bit different in right and left side with your z4! I have attached the right_bumperGap and left_bumperGap pics to show that somehow mine is a big larger space on the right side then the left. I was wondering if it's the same for all the z4 in space Gray or M package. Please see attached pics. Let me know if yours is like that or not. Thanks!
