It looks great!!!
Yes, take her to Island south and you will enjoy the ride very much which was what I did on the second day too!
The 18" might feel a bit harsh on the not so smooth surface and don't go too quick as the tyres and brakes are not ready yet!

HAVE FUN!!

hi all hk z4 owners,

i m interested in ordering a z4 35i soon. the adaptive M suspension is option, right? but how about the "normal, Sport and Sport +" setting, is this option as well?

is it possible to have a premium sound package as an option?
is the sport seats with lumber support an option on 35i?

Thanks for the help

adaptive M suspension = option
Dynamic Drive Control (the settings) = standard on 35i
logic 7 sound system = option
lumber support = option

make it easy on yourself and just tick all the boxes.

oeap,

- adaptive M suspension is an option, they called it adaptive M running gear
- DDC is a standard
- Sport seat and lumbar are options
- for the stereo, I am not sure whether you can order as an option. For stereo with standard package: 23i, it comes with standard stereo. 30i, Hi-Fi stereo. 35i, Hi-Fi professional stereo. You better ask the sales rep whether you can order upgrade version. The options in HK BMW are very limited unlike other countries. I hope this helps.

All are correct.

The 35i will have Hi-fi Pro (14 speakers) as standard and according to others in this forum, it is really good. Logic 7 may be too much for such a small cabin.

I think you can order whatever option you want if you insist.... but BMW will charge you way TOO....... MUCH.........

Thank you. Yes, nice place for taking photo. But, you must go there early morning to avoid traffic. I always love to drive in sunday morning.

By the way, any hk friend know where i can buy the short antenna?? I really want to change it which is so ugly.

WP,

I see ur z4 is 35i, it seems that your car doesn't have the idrive system.
Is the idrive system optional?

mav5125, clwwong and lomay

thanks for the replies.

Do you guys think that the adaptive m suspension is essential for roads in hk?
Does it really provide a better driving experience?

is the standard stereo for 35i good enough? as I have seen a few post saying the stereo is not any good in this forum

Thank you. BTW, I bought a short antenna in Mongkok. The price tag is HK$28. The short antenna is not perfect, but at least much better than the original long one.

idrive is optional. I didn't opt for it as it is too expensive (HK$55,500 including tax). I think idrive is a good stuff if you don't mind the cost.

I haven't pick up my car yet, but I did opt for the M suspension. I will let you know once I got it next week.

Yeah the test car that i drove had it on there and it felt more sporty. I'm sure it drives better with that option.

However, if the roads are crap then i don't think it will make much of a difference.

will get mine in 3 weeks, so i'll let you know when i've got it.

Most people would recommend upgrading the sound system. I'm not sure what options are available to you there in HK but in Europe you have 2 upgrade options:

1) Business = 11 speakers / 245W amp
2) Professional = 14 speakers / 650W amp + graphic equalizer and funky sound options which simulate things like church hall, concert hall etc......something like that).

The States appear to only have one upgrade option; Premium Sound Package which is the equivalent to Europe's Professional system but also includes 6 disc DVD changer and possibly one or two other bits that are stand alone options in Europe.

The standard system, which is the same throughout all the Z4 models, appears to lack power (doesn't have an external amp and speakers are powered solely by the head unit) and people seem to complain that it's particularly bad with the roof down as the standard system isn't loud enough to compete with wind noise etc.

I would highly recommend that you go to a dealer and arrange to test drive a car with the standard system and then a second car with an upgraded sound system.

Personally, I went for the Business option and am more than happy with it.
