Comfort Access> Convenient Loading

I cannot seem to get this to work, and I never have seen it demo'd on a E89 (on F33, yes)... Does it work?

Here's the excerpt from the OM:

Try "aiming" the remote at the door handle. Sometimes the remote is a bit fickle. I know mine likes to start/stop intermittently. (dumb question: are you sure you have the Comfort Access option?)

I got it to work once or twice, then got tired of the alarm going off. It's enough of a PITA I just close the top and wait the additional ~10 seconds.

Here is the video that I posted of me demonstrating the Convenient Loading. Once you press the trunk button and release it. You have to quickly (blink of an eye quick) press it again and hold it.

I've been able to get it to work sometimes, but usually I'm a bit too slow on the second click and just end up setting off the alarm.

Comfort Access- I have to stand by the rear, drivers side, qtr panel, near the antenna, for the signal to hold for full opening of the top and windows and closing procedure.

CA also allows to use the ribs under the door handle to lock the car with just the keys in my pocket.

Trunk access again with the key near by allows to push the trunk roundel to open the trunk.

As well even though you do not need the key to be in the ignition slot to start/run with CA, I put the key in the slot to allow the key FOB to be fully charged. This seems to help with allowing a full charged key FOB and gives me more distance from the FOB to send the signal to the top and windows.

If you have comfort access for the E89 it isn't a rechargeable battery, just an ordinary replaceable battery - I replaced mine last year and now I carry a spare in the glovebox.

I thought the battery in the Comfort Access fob was not re-chargeable.

Mine was sold to me stating to have Comfort Access but I do need to use the key in the dash to start it; I suppose it's more secure but it'd be a nice feature to have. I can't lock/unlock with the key in my pocket by using the ribbed part below the handles; have to press the button on the remote. I can open the top by holding down the open button on the remote but I haven't been able to subsequently close it with the remote; not even the windows when the top is up and windows down. I haven't tried the trunk half-open facility but something tells me it won't work.

Do I have Comfort Access at-all? My car was originally Bulgarian but all the manual etc is German.

Comfort access should not require the key in the dash to start and you should be able to unlock by putting your fingers under the handle. Touching the ribbed spot is to lock the doors. If you can't do that and it isn't a battery issue, then it isn't comfort access.
