$50k to build a new garage? What did it look like before? Was this new construction?

I could not imagine spending $50k on improving my garage. $50k garage is way too disproportionate to the value of my house.

I tote down the old one and built a new detached 24x24 with 10 foot ceilings in case I wanna install a lift. It serves me well as I work on my Miata in winters. It's heated and humidity controlled garage so it's pretty comfortable
