Yeah sorry, but roof color in black is just stupid stupid stupid. Ruins the entire GT car illusion with the roof up.

Looks ok on some ferraris and with some colors but not on most of the Z4... I think it looks odd and see this as a cost reduction move just like the side signal light.

If you're going to have a different color top, at least match it to the anthracite rear diffuser. That would be at least a sensible decision. |

Looks like with the special Valencia Orange package, you get both wood trim and and aluminum/carbon design trim... not sure if I like that.
Love the color from the picture, looks eloquently classy yet super sporty. Can't wait to see it in flesh... and those LCI headlights. Maybe worth dropping $600+/side on them? |

Beautiful, but I just built one on the BMW site. $65,000 and it wasn't even a 335is model. I've always liked this car but the price point doesn't make sense. You can find a pretty new, very low mileage 911 for that, and why wouldn't you.

1) A 911 does not offer 50/50 weight distribution. And it is has very very high limits. Therefore a 911 is not easy to drive sideways for fun. And having fun is more important than going fast. I would use the same argument against getting any AWD car. 2) Even with its soft top down I still think it is less of a looker overall. I admire it from some angles but overall I like the Z4 more... 3) You cannot get +90hp by simply ECU tuning a 911 stock engine. In conclusion, a 911 is a very serious car that looks rather opposite... happy (with those headlights and all)... whereas the Z4 is an angry looking car that is actually eager to play and have fun. |

Calipers not disk. I hope you are not talking about cross drilling calipers... jk
The calipers are really ugly... Was looking for a cover but can't find any that looks good enough for me to put money on.

You make a good point, but he would be happier with a 6 year old 911. I was president of a Pcar chapter back in the 70s when I had two 924s (I turbo charged one myself when the only turbo on the market was the 930), and there's nothing that will make them change their minds. Pcar folks drank the cool aid ...it's too late to save them and BMW folk took the blue pill and we're still riding on a high.
