18'' Stock wheels vs 18'' AC Schnitzer type IV wheels

Stock wheels:
FA:8x18 225/40/18 ET29
RA:8.5x18 255/35/18 ET40

Schnitzer type IV wheels ET43:
FA:8.5x18 225/40/18 ET27 with 16mm spacer
RA:8.5x18 225/40/18 ET23 with 20mm spacer (From the official pdf)

Why schnitzer wheels need 20mm spacer in RA when their original offset (43) is so close to the stock wheels offset? That means, the inner clearance for schnitzer is 17mm more than the stock wheels. As far as i know, the car manufacturer's original offset should be maintained. Can anyone help?

Also is it possible to have 255/35/18 at schnitzer wheels and what about the new offset?

You're looking at two diff specs, type IV's come in four Offsets. Can you attach the PDF? the website clearly shows four offsets you simply pick the closest, in our case 33 and 43.

As far as your second question, I'm not sure I understand. do you mean "can the front tires be 255/35??? If so, then the answer is No

Memphis1 i can't find 4 offsets for the typeIV wheels. There is only one for 18'' wheels, the one that i have mentioned above...

I see what you see on the PDF, and it's basically wrong. They're suggesting 43 as an offset for both front and rear, but that will definitely rub in the front. you need to find wheels with offsets that are as close as possible to OEM. as far as tires, don't get those sizes either, front should be 225/35/18 and rear should be 255/30/18. It the PDF almost sounds like a winter package suggestion.

Memphis,

Typo?

Did you mean:

225/40/18 and 255/35/18
or
225/35/19 and 255/30/19?

Stay away from spacers. Find a wheel with a proper offset rather than make one fit.

yeah, thanks for catching that...

sry Ermis, the tires should be 225/40/18 and 255/35/18, i was thinking 19", anyway, I would try to find wheels that don't need mods
