How to achieve soft gentle brake at stop sign/lights?
Growing up, I was used to driving my parents cars. When braking, I pride myself to have that quiet, smooth, gentle crawl to a stop. I can't do that with this car.
Without changing anything, how do I achieve that gentle crawl to a stop? Having to change something, what needs to be changed without losing the car's "luster"?

Are your brakes using stock pad material? The brake system in this Z4 is like every other BMW on the planet. Nothing special. So not sure what's the issue.

I can "smooth" brake/stop this car and I have the 35is (larger brakes).

I assume you're referring to that little grab at the last like half mile per hour? BMW brake pads tend to have more bite which makes it more challenging to get that smooth stop. When I put Akebono Euro pads on my wife's X3 that went away and being smooth to the very end happened without thought.

Yes, stock brake pads. I grew up driving my parents' Acura TL, Jaguar XJ , Volvo station wagon. My 2013 Z4 I've had for 2 years is my first BMW. Not familiar with its brake system.

According to both ECS Tuning and Real OEM, the 35i has 330 x 24mm front rotors and 300 x 20mm rear. The 35is has 348 x 30 front and 324 x 20mm rear. That said you won't feel any difference in coming to a smooth stop because of that difference.
