313 Replica Wheel Fitment

I know there are many posts on wheels but I really want to make sure that these Replica Wheels from WWW.OEMWHEELSPLUS.com will fit my 09 Z4

I love this wheel style, BUT cannot afford the real thing.

The 19 x 8 front OEM has an offset of 29 vs the replicia 19 x9 with an offset of 37.
The 19 x 9 Rear OEM has an offset of 40 vs the replicia 19 x9 with an offset of 39

Why the Offset differences?

Tires Sizes-Comments
Front- 235/40/19
Rear- 265/30/19

My guess would be it would be copyright infringement so the replica company had to change something, like the offsets. That won't be bad though. The rear wheel will sit 1mm closer to the fender, and 8mm spacers on the front would achieve the same look as the OEM 313's in the front.

OP, BMW manufacturers 3 different versions of this style of wheel for 1er, E90 3er and E89

The offsets of the knock offs you posted are for the E90 3er

Personally, I would try look for a used OEM E89 set and not use the spacer + random manufacturer product.. We have seen a lot of 19s get cracks in our E89 even with non RFT, so I am really concerned about the safety factor... Would a road hazard hit that cracks an OEM or quality aftermarket wheel just shatter a knock off?



"Reputable" knock off manufacturers like Rota post info about their manufacturing capability and some are OEM suppliers to Asian manufacturers.

I couldn't even find the address on the company website you posted.....

I agree that the replica wheels may not be as tough as OEM, But based my 2-4000 miles per year I drive this car, I am not concerned with rampant failure.
Plus I want to get rid of the RFT tires and if I am going To do this, I am going to 19 inch wheels vs my 18.

Spacers
I really do not want to use spacers.
Why would I need the spacers?
I know they move the wheel closer the the wheel well, but without them will there be any performance, turning, rubbing, etc issues using the stock listed offsets?

As well, After these wheels and tires with NON RFT get paid off, my next mod is going to a drop with be a set of H and R lowering springs. This will give me the same look with out spacers?

I was looking at the OEM tire size recommendation.
235/35/19
Are these the better size vs the 235/40.

235/35 has a tire height of 235 * .35 = 82.25mm tall
235/40 has a tire height of 235 * .40 = 94mm tall

So the 235/40 tire gives you an extra 11.75mm of tire height / cushion, if you will. I personally would do the 235/35 tire because it'll look better, and especially with the 265/30 rear tires (which have a tire height of 79.5mm), you don't want to get a 94mm tire height with a 79.5mm tire height in the rear; it would look weird/odd.

The yearly mileage doen't influence if a rim cracks or not.
I would never buy a replica.

It is no problem to use the 3-series Performance wheels on the Z4 (this is often done by several guys from the German zroadster-board).
The 313 from the 3-series are available in two different versions with identic dimensions. One is the BMW Performance 313, the other version is the ///M Style 313.

But do not use the 3-series wheels w/o spacers - these are -8 mm less Offset at the front.
Here in Germany this would be forbidden by law to reduce the track.
If you don't have these laws, there are minimum two additional reasons why you shouldn't do this:
1. this will change the handling characteristics
2. this will look not good, especially with lowering springs
Below, you can see how 3-series Performance wheels (same dimensions as 313) are looking w/o spacers look on my Z4 (I've made a test fitment of the 3-series Performance wheels from our 125i to my Z4 w/o spacers to get an impression of the design on the Z):

Not good at the front!

It is no problem to use spacers only at the front (I also have 3 series Performance wheels at the front with 15mm (30mm) H&R spacers w/o problems, also at >270 km/h.

Regarding tire sizes:
8J = 225/35
8,5J = 235/35
9J = 255/30
9,5J = 265/30

In my opinion you shouldn't save money at security relevant parts like breaks, wheels or suspension.
Better to buy used and genuine 313's than buy new replicas.

The originals for the e89 have 'BMW PERFORMANCE" stamped/overlaid on the outer rim. If they're BMW but not e89 they'll have the 'M' sport badge near the centre cap, but these do not have the correct offset. If they are replica, then they'll have no M badge or BMW PERFORMANCE on them.

OP one thing to try is to call around the parts desk of your local dealers. They might have some E89 style 313 wheels from a previous order that fell through.

I have found that dealers do not publicize excess inventory but will cut great deals for existing customers who express interest in a part that is in stock. Sometimes they will give a discount on ordered OEM parts too
