Anyone else with Canine Riders?
My pure German Dachshund, TIGER!
Loved riding with top down in the California sun.

Don't laugh, I have always had cats but I am considering a toy poodle! I was wondering how a small dog would do in the Z4. I'm just not sure what my 14 pound cat would do with a little dog. I am into helping out shelter animals vs. buying so I have been waiting for one to emerge. I have had the good fortune of adopting many fantastic pets over the years. Would love a canine rider!

You have misinterpreted my post. I love animals. It would not be an accessory for my car, not even close. A bonus would be if it liked to go for rides, something my cats certainly don't do well. I would never "use" a small dog as an accessory but rather love it like a child. It would never go in a purse either which I personally could slap people for. Dogs don't belong in a purse.

My two German Shepherds are WAY too big for the Z4 and have to "settle" for my wife's Lexus!

I see people bringing dogs to car shows and the poor dog is walking around on a hot asphalt parking lot, and no water. We have a woman in our Corvette club who brings her dog to the meetings in a carry bag of some kind. She takes the dog into restaurants on club drives, etc. I am sorprised she didn't bring the dog to the Christmas dinner/dance. I have had several Chinese Pugs and loved them. I never took them for rides in my Corvettes, MG's, or Model A Fords. They rode in the company car to the Vet or when going on a trip once or twice a year. I see dogs hanging out of the window on cars and maybe they do enjoy that, but I didn't take Buddha along on a drive. I took him for a walk when I got home.

I have 2 westies and one passenger. My solution (Never try) put the dogs in the trunk, open the through loading window, let them put the head into the cabin

Is the black and white one a Malti-poo (Maltese and poodle mix). Love those as well!

Wow, interesting that they look quite different. I have a friend who has one, she is very good small dog who is super spoiled (but then that's what pets are for)!

Our Cairn Terriers love to ride in the car (not allow in the Z) and know how to step on the window buttons to get air. The moment you pull into the vet or groomers, they act like you have taken them to slaughter. |

Mine have become well behaved and spoiled at the same time, it’s just fun see people’s expressions as I drive or walk along the beach with these two… most people tell me I look like I should have a Great Dane, but that would not fit in the Z! But then I just fit as well.

It ssems that German Dachshunds are quite popular here
Mine ("Gina", mini long hair, 1,5y) is commuting on my knees every day to work and loves driving top down , unfortunately I don't have a picture with her in the E89. |
