E60-E65 Fuel Support Confirmed for the E89 Z4 35i and 35is
E89 Z4 35i and 35is with the N54 engine I have confirmed can run E60-E65 fuel on the stock fueling system. No fueling upgrades needed
http://datazap.me/u/buraq/e60-fuel-t...lo=10&mark=102 Our project Z4 went FBO+ yesterday and I was out beating it up pretty hard today. It was time to see if the fueling system would support E60 and sure enough it does I spend pretty much all day in the 95°f tweaking the fueling system. No long cranks, and smooth idling. Haven't started dialing in boost controls yet, only fueling and a base timing for starters Last edited by BQTuning; 09-12-2015 at 11:32 PM.. |

BuraQ, Do you know why our fuel system works better than the other N54 platforms. The LPFP was tested in the Z4 and it does flow more than the 335i and 135i but I have to think that there are other reasons too.

Well that explains it. I didn't realize that the diameter of our fuels lines are that much bigger. I know for a fact that our LPFP flows at the same rate as the Walbro 400 because Steve tested it. |

So what do I have to do to get a custom E60 map from you? I've also sent you a PM on the other forum asking questions... My car is an 09 Z4 35i 6mt, FBO w/custom inlets and I've been running the JB4 G5 map 5 on E30... but my new tablet just showed up today and I'm about to buy the MHD app, and I'd rather not buy the ots MHD maps if I'm better off with a custom tune.

I need to finish the base map on my own Z4 first before it goes out to customers. I havent had much time to do any tuning on my own car do to e-tuning other customers cars takes prefference. I sent you a PM of what is required for the Z4 to run on MHD, if not then COBB is preffered and then I will be able to handle your tuning directly. If you go on MHD Ken will take the base map that I develope to start you of with as I dont tune on MHD for my own personal reasons at this time, only COBB. |

10 Gals of E85 and 3 Gals of 93 Octane
Im on my 3rd tank refill of the E85 mix. Ran some logs today on a nearly finished map, just some more tweaking needed on the WOT onset with boost. Being 6MT helps with catching my breath in between shift cause it hard to breath getting up that fast in speeds
Peak torque is about 4500 RPM and that where the HPFP dips the most. It took a lot of torque to get it to yield to 1700 PSI. What you don't want to do is go below 1500 PSI http://datazap.me/u/buraq/bqe60-ina0...11&zoom=26-316 |

10 Gals of E85 and 2 Gals of 93 Octane
Next refill was 10 gals of E85 and 2 gals for about E70+
Finally got the HPFP down to 1500 where you want to stop adding power on the fueling system on this platform. The good thing about all this I haven't even touch fuel rail pressure yet, its still stock http://datazap.me/u/buraq/v20-post-s...31-109&mark=77 power output of the 3rd gear in the above log yielded about 440+ whp and 490+ wtq . I'm starting to feel the run craps breaking loose at 4k RPM |
