jacking points

Does anyone know if there is a special fitting available for a trolley jack to fit on/in the jacking point or is it good to go with a standard cup.

It just looks as if the item under the car might deform.

I jacked my car with a tiny jack from an Audi A3. There are 4 points specially made for a jack under the car. You can also find them in ur manual. Doing 1 tire at the time works fine. I had no problems. I believe the jack points had black hard plastic around them, but it didnt deform/break on my car.

Jack adapter pad

Sir,

Go to ECS Tuning and see their selection of jack pads. I am sure one of these is what you are looking for..

Here is a link: http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Jack_Pad/ES251251/

Hope this helps.

Yes thanks for that link. It looks like the type of thing to use.

My wifes 1series has a solid pad under the car but as far as I can see the E89 needs an adapter.

Must mail them for the correct fitting.

Re:

The link above is apparently the correct part.

Need to think about getting some more items from them to save on postage as it's more than the value of the item
