jacking points
Does anyone know if there is a special fitting available for a trolley jack to fit on/in the jacking point or is it good to go with a standard cup.
It just looks as if the item under the car might deform. |

I jacked my car with a tiny jack from an Audi A3. There are 4 points specially made for a jack under the car. You can also find them in ur manual. Doing 1 tire at the time works fine. I had no problems. I believe the jack points had black hard plastic around them, but it didnt deform/break on my car.

Yes thanks for that link. It looks like the type of thing to use.
My wifes 1series has a solid pad under the car but as far as I can see the E89 needs an adapter. Must mail them for the correct fitting. |
