Cracked wheels

A wheel of my Z4 has a crack.

According to USA posts, BMW has taken responsibility. Does anyone know any more about this?

This might be useful to know because it could save me over £700

How did you know that the wheel was cracked? Did you feel it or see it or lose air pressure? My new tires all of sudden feel like they have a flat spot in the morning until they warm up and I'm wondering if that a sign of a wheel crack.

It was a finding during the MOT.

This is for the LA296 wheel
The car has to be under the original warranty period to make a claim. I don't know if it applies outside North America or not. I had one replaced just prior to my warranty expiring. The dealer didn't know about the settlement. I had to bring the information with me to the service department. They still had to check with the corporate office which confirmed the settlement.
