For what it's worth, here's the HID option.

However I've had to send one of the ballasts back for replacement, and one of the bulbs back for replacement (due to turning yellow). So while it's a cheaper and brighter option, it's not without downsides. Also the inner ring is significantly brighter than the outer ring.

I have no idea what my vision is rated at. I don't wear any glasses or contacts and I'd consider my vision to be pretty damn good myself.

But yeah I couldn't tell and I plan on buying a set of cheaper/affordable headlights.

Unless the 2 cars are in the same picture its not a very accurate representation. picture exposure can make a HUGE difference on the appearance of the angel eyes.

LUX has a very proven track record and we have lots of pictures of them installed on Z4's. The best comparison pictures are taken in the daytime with full sunlight, and flpnout posted a great picture of this. Overcast or night pictures are never accurate

well NO.

both pics are taken MANUALLY.

that means same exposure... same light. same circumstances. both cars in the same place.

LUX are nice but unfortunatelly too expensive for the result.

both solutions are not satisfactory but the LUX is not the money worth it.

this is my opinions as customer and fanatic.

Be that as it may, $245 is still way too much for a set of headlights. That comes out to $122.5 a headlight. I'd much rather get an aftermarket HID kit for $140 or just get a competitor's LED H8 for significantly less. One could argue that the more expensive product is "superior" but that's another debate.

But what do I know, I'm just some random person on the internet that thinks $245 for aftermarket headlights is too much when the stock BMW H8 headlights cost like $30

Anything like the Lux for an e85? I went to their website and it doesn't look like they make it for my car. Thanks.

BTW, I think the lux looks great and personally, I would buy it if it or something like it were available for my 3.0si.
