Where is VintageBmw???

He hasn't been around. I thought for sure he would pipe in when the recall for the Hpfp surfaced.

don't know, but it greatly helped his case and all others that have been denied or have had out of pocket expenses for this repair. i know toyota had a brake issue, when they finally redesigned the system (caliper, rotor) if you had receipts or some type of proof of payment, toyota reimbursed you. i would greatly hope that bmw will do the same.

As frustrated as he was I wouldn't be surprised to find him on a Porsche forum.

Watching the Nightline report on the HPFP issue, and one of the things mentioned is that BMW uses a non-negotiable gag order in their settlements. It occurred that VintageBmw had filed, or was about to file, a case against BMW so maybe they settled with him.
