Enjoying Some Top Down Weather
Last weekend we were in Myrtle Beach, SC and enjoyed some serious top down weather - totally beautiful. We did something on March 20 we haven't done in a long time which was to cruise the length of Ocean Boulevard from south of the old Pavilion site all the way north to Ocean Drive. Thought we would share just a few snapshots. Click here to enjoy some appropriate accompanying music like we had playing while we were driving.
Discovered an older relative of the Z4 at Sharkey's Beach Bar where we stopped for beers and to enjoy the ocean view. Central part of Myrtle Beach Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle A great place to end the drive. Best regards, Ed |

I've definitely enjoyed some top down weather in Charlotte. Now if I can just get to the beach. Or even the mountains for some great drives.

Looks great Ed!
Reminds me of my days as a child when I would spend vacations at Litchfield, just south of Myrtle Beach. Have any more pics of your painted roll over bars?

I am looking forward to a trip to the Carolinas in a couple weeks assuming I get my car back from the transit repairs that are to be made next week.

Here's the only thing I have from the trip showing the rear of the roll bars: That's my wife, Sandra, on the right. She's with the infamous Ms. LuLu of "Lunch with LuLu at Fat Harold's Beach Club" notoriety - well known to people who enjoy Carolina Beach Music and frequent Ocean Drive, SC. Thanks to all who have offered such kind comments. Best regards, Ed |

Today was 80 degrees (27 C) in Charlotte. I drove top down to a Basketball game this evening. It was still 70+ at 9:30 at night after the game so I dropped the top on the way home. Bad news, it dropped to 60 in the country but I still enjoyed the drive!
Spring in this area is interesting. It was only 38 this morning, but hit 80 by the afternoon.

Removing the bugs accumulated on the drive to Myrtle Beach through the coastal plains of the Carolinas, and then the salt spray and rain which blew into the parking deck overnight before doing the cruise on Ocean Boulevard was a bit more challenging! Best regards, Ed |
