extremely weird. as i understand it, they could sell another car, make a profit, guarantee future profit with service and warranty BUT they choose not to; I think what they are really saying is that unless you pay way too much for the vehicle versus the going rate at other dealers then they will not value you as a customer. is this some sort of bizarre reverse psychology??? it appears to me to be a very bad business model in this economy plus it runs contrary to what you would think BMW NA and Munich would want from their dealer network - puzzling at best. i would run from this dealer as it appears their culture is really screwed up and they only like people that pay too much for their cars.

Yes I've always liked Flow BMW out of Winston Salem. I've bought 2 BMWs from Jim Brown. My 550i came from Crown in Greensboro. I won't use them again.

Hendrick in Charlotte has surprised me lately. I wanted to test drive the Z4 3.0 and Z4 3.5. I went during a tent sale. My saleman passed me to another. He was also too busy and passed me the keys to one, said "drive it for awhile, come back and drive the other". Two hours later they were still slammed. I had already done the research and had few questions. A 1/2 hour after normal closing time, my salesman finally talked to me. He had sold 4 cars that day, the other guy 2. I wanted to order one so I stopped by days later to walk the lot viewing colors. But they had the Black Sapphire 3.5i on the lot and made a good deal.

It's all those rich guys from Duke. They can afford to pay full sticker price.
