Few Q's on 2011 BMW Z4 35IS

Few Q's on 2011 BMW Z4 35IS
I used to own a E46 M3 SMG and considering a Z4 35IS
1) Can it be now ordered in the U.S?, if so what reasonable discount that can be ordered?
2) I am not a fan of the push/pull paddles, can it be ordered with the left /right paddles like in the M3
3) I am debating between this and a slightly used 2009 Audi TT 3.2 V6 Convertible, can z4 owners who have had a TT convertible give your feedback?

Thanks

I know nothing and do not trust me, BUT I think only variants of the 4 cylinder are available in the TT (or TTS as it may be) - regardless the Audi TTS is a great car in the coupe form

#1 Yes. As to discount, that may be a tough call. I'm paying $1000 above Euro invoice but I'm picking it up in Munich, if that helps.

#2 My understanding is that the early review models had the fubar paddle system but I think the 335is has the alternate config. Since these aren't on the road yet I'm still holding out hope..

#3 IMO that TT is not comparable to the 35is. Now if you were talking TT-RS.... well maybe..

I just spoke to the dealer, I guess the base is 60 something and with premium, cold weather , hifi sound , naviation and 19" wheel it is a 70K car.

The dealer said he can discount 1700 off msrp, so the leae would be 1100 or a buy prince 69K, seems a lot for the 35Is

it is a lot of money for a great car; you may consider the TTS Roadster, which I think is under 60k completely loaded. the TTS is a great car, we just preferred the Z4 (and yes, ours is loaded too with a sticker of over $68k) but we did receive a much better deal that the $1,700 off of sticker. i think you should consider a loaded 2010 35i as you can probably get a really great deal on one in the next few months

I wasn't a fan of the push/pull paddles on the dct at first but with time I learned to really enjoy them. It does make sense. But if they offered right down and left up paddle style I'd be the first to get them.
I read on e90post a long time ago, a guy in his 335i managed to reconfigure his push/pull paddles so that either push or pull on the left would downshift and push or pull on the right would upshift.

i really love the paddles the way they are now - very easy to use; the M3 paddle set up would be fine too

i'll try to see if i can get my hands on the new 335is paddles or the m3 paddles and rewire them, i hate using my thumb to downshift, your thumb is not as fast as your index and middle fingers.

I think some more shopping may yield a better deal, is it reasonable to expect 3k off msrp on the 35is?

BTW, the U.k site has two 19" wheels , U.S gets one , does anyone know which style /spoke design for the 19"

Thanks

I've been trying to figure out which one we will get as wel... Although, under what tab on the UK site are you seeing the wheel options for the 35is?

For the 35is, the 19" option will most likely be the 326m.
313 19" is the same design as the ones on the 335is

Try to config on the German site or the Swiss one. I managed to config 19" 326m on the 35is with the swiss site. Besides the 326m, the other 19" you can config with are the 296's.
313's are not available from the factory. Needs to be ordered through the dealer.
