Few Q's on 2011 BMW Z4 35IS
Few Q's on 2011 BMW Z4 35IS
I used to own a E46 M3 SMG and considering a Z4 35IS 1) Can it be now ordered in the U.S?, if so what reasonable discount that can be ordered? 2) I am not a fan of the push/pull paddles, can it be ordered with the left /right paddles like in the M3 3) I am debating between this and a slightly used 2009 Audi TT 3.2 V6 Convertible, can z4 owners who have had a TT convertible give your feedback? Thanks |

I know nothing and do not trust me, BUT I think only variants of the 4 cylinder are available in the TT (or TTS as it may be) - regardless the Audi TTS is a great car in the coupe form

#1 Yes. As to discount, that may be a tough call. I'm paying $1000 above Euro invoice but I'm picking it up in Munich, if that helps.
#2 My understanding is that the early review models had the fubar paddle system but I think the 335is has the alternate config. Since these aren't on the road yet I'm still holding out hope.. #3 IMO that TT is not comparable to the 35is. Now if you were talking TT-RS.... well maybe.. |

I just spoke to the dealer, I guess the base is 60 something and with premium, cold weather , hifi sound , naviation and 19" wheel it is a 70K car.
The dealer said he can discount 1700 off msrp, so the leae would be 1100 or a buy prince 69K, seems a lot for the 35Is |

I wasn't a fan of the push/pull paddles on the dct at first but with time I learned to really enjoy them. It does make sense. But if they offered right down and left up paddle style I'd be the first to get them.
I read on e90post a long time ago, a guy in his 335i managed to reconfigure his push/pull paddles so that either push or pull on the left would downshift and push or pull on the right would upshift. T |

i'll try to see if i can get my hands on the new 335is paddles or the m3 paddles and rewire them, i hate using my thumb to downshift, your thumb is not as fast as your index and middle fingers.

I think some more shopping may yield a better deal, is it reasonable to expect 3k off msrp on the 35is?
BTW, the U.k site has two 19" wheels , U.S gets one , does anyone know which style /spoke design for the 19" Thanks |
