Ok Rolf-Dieter, time to move on.
Rolf-Dieter,
You certainly are retired because your mission in life seems to be to complain and whine about your 296 wheel problem. It is time to move on. Yes you had a bad experience with your rims. We get it, but at some point you have to understand we have better things to talk about. It's one rim, and your own site says "Quote: Live each day as if it is your last, one day you sure to be right." I hope you don't make your life about a $600 wheel problem. Go for a drive. |

I guess wiles335i is just saying that starting 7 threads on essentially the same subject seems a bit obsessive. I got the 296's too and I wish all the information related to the cracking issue were under one thread just in case I need it one day. But until then I'll be enjoying my car too much to worry about the rims.

I have 296's on mine too and if I crack them I will post a really nasty message to BMW as well. Unless the dealership deals with it in an appropriate fashion.
I'd be a little pissed if I was in Rolf's shoes (and I may be soon ??) . I don't read anything I don't want to so "No Issues" with Rolf.

Several months ago I had the same thought about his obsession on this and other forums, sorry Rolf. But he has a perfect right to vent as long as it's respectful to others. Often time a forum is the only avenue to let off some steam and steamed I would surely be if I were in his shoes. I certainly did my fair share of the same on the other forum when my car took 13 weeks to re-deliver.
wiles I see you are new here and all... but the Z group is a fairly tight bunch and it's considered a pretty big party foul to immediately go after it's "senior" (no pun) members. |
