Congratulations, it really looks fantastic... since I saw pictures of yours I think impatience will drive me crazy before mine is delivered.

Only "negative" comment would be for the wheels. Are you planning to mount the BMW Performance alloys or did you think the 19'' would ruin all comfort?

May I suggest you go for the Performance wheels ;-)

I am not a wheel 'fetish' and as such I opted for the standard 18" wheels ... many Z4 owners opt for the 19" ...
I like the wheels as they are now !

Well, I hope you can stand the wait a bit longer ... I know how it feels !

I'm not obsessed by wheels neither, I kept the same alloys on my present car for 4,5 years (i know people changing every 3 months), just found the Performance and the 326M have a sportier look but fortunately everyone has his own preferences.

Anyway your Z4 is gorgeous with the standard wheels and this way we won't have exactly identical cars (I also took black interior)!

Yes I saw it that I'm in 'car of the month'
Never been so popular in my life

About the review requested, you will need to wait a bit longer, I'm not doing much driving these days ....

It takes some learning though with that DCT: the first small push on the gas pedal does not translate into much action, pushing a bit (a bit !!) further gives already reasonable acceleration. Need to learn (again) to drive it sloooow in case it is needed (although this is not what the car was meant to be made for )

Although I know the engine for years now (had the same in my E92 335i), I'm eagerly awaiting for the break-in period to be over so that +4000rpm's are possible ....

Music system is great (took the top-notch version)

Servotronic is different but I find it ok for now

DCT is in 7th gear at 70km/h when going with the flow ... in fact in reasonably dense traffic it is - in D-mode - not so easy to go over 2000rpm ...

This DCT is more aggressive than the one I drove a few months earlier, which was the 'regular' Z4 35i ...

To be continued.... and don't think I drive slow, it is just a question of break-in period and wrong hours (lots of traffic) that I've been drivin' it lately
Once you start playing with the car in sport mode and manual DCT shifts, you'll find the throttle and shifting are plenty responsive. Even on my daily commute, I go into manual mode frequently. I do reserve sport mode for smooth roads because it does get a bit harsh over bumps.

One reason I use manual mode is to avoid too low of RPM in 'D'. I doubt 1300 RPM would hurt the motor but it just feels better dropped a gear or two and 1800+ RPM. Oddly going from D to S drops it from 7th to 4th. I then kick it to 5th or 6th in 'M' mode.

Nice.....

This is the only car I can see trading in my 135i for. Sat in a Z4sdrive3.5i at the dealership last week and this thing just oozes class. I love the interior set-up. Looks like they took some styling cues from the Z8 which is arguably one of the nicest designs ever. I better stop admiring your car now before I talk myself into a trade-in tomorrow. Enjoy!!!!!!

Nice! I also like the steering wheel. I miss the fat grip M steering wheel from my previous M-Roadster.

Looks good I like the Breytons. I wish they made them in a 8/9 or 8.5/9.5 staggered 18" setup, instead of the 7.5/8.5 they currently offer.

Those wheels compliment that color very well. I wouldn't mind having a set for myself. Very nice! I just re-read that they are 19". Thanks for sharing.
