Stock 18" wheels, tire pressure on the road? And on the track?
Wonder what tire pressure are you guys running for stock 18" wheels on the road and on the track (stock run flat tires)?

Can't speak for on the track, but why would you not use the recommended pressure on the door-jam? For 18s they recommend 36 fronts and 42 Rears (for speeds up to 100 MPH). For speeds exceeding 100 MPH, depending on your specific wheel, either 36/42 or 38/45 (with Sport Package). Maybe use the former for daily use, and latter for track?
Or someone with more track experience should chime in, but I would definitely use recommended for road. |

EDIT: I just got the stock 18s on my car and so far I am happy with the 36F / 42R factory recommendation. I would use this setting for a while.
On my 19s, I used the over 100mph pressures on the street to try and prevent the Style 296 wheels from cracking, but I had to bleed air out when the tires got really hot from spirited driving Last edited by nicknaz; 06-19-2013 at 02:56 AM.. |
