Has anyone ever had any issues with the convertible metal roof?

I start getting creaking noises that sound as if they are coming from the dash. Open and close the roof and the noise goes away for a day or two.


No other issues.

No other issues.
Lubricate your roof seals and that will go away.

No problems from myself. Working perfectly.

What was the name of that product used on rubber seals? I couldn't find the thread where it was discussed. It was a BMW product...

After each wash, need to partially open the roof the wipe all residual water between the rubber seal.

That's the only problem with the roof

Any part of the roof that is rubber, black and designed to keep the water out of the cockpit.

Don't just use anything to clean the seals. The wrong product will deteriorate the rubber. There are lots of good products designed to clean and lubricate rubber seals. When they get dry or dirty with film they rub together and squeak.

I clean the front, middle and back seals once a month or so.

only issue i had was when we went to see Pearl Jam in Berlin and the wife left a tupperware container in the trunk on the "don't put stuff here" panel and then i tried to lower the roof...i almost cried!
