Laser Jammer for Z4?
Hi Everyone,
I searched here and a couple other BMW / Z4 forums and couldn't find any existing posts regarding laser jammers specific to a Z4, so I wanted to post this for your input. I'm considering getting either a laser jammer or radar detector for my '09 Z4, but when I started looking where I'd put the jammers I started wondering whether it's really even worth it or not. There's really not a perfect flat surface on the front of the Z4 so is this car is even a good target for a police laser gun or do they just aim for the front grill where it's curvy but somewhat flat? It almost seems to me that the lasers would have a hard time finding a spot flat enough to bounce back, so could we actually be protected in a way...What do you think? If not, any other Z4 owners here have a laser jammer? If so what's your setup and do you have any pics you can post of it or can you let me know where you placed your jammers (below the grill plate I assume, although it amost seems to me that the only place w/ enough room would on the inside of the grill plate)? I'm considering the Blinder M45 laser jammer w/ Cheetah wireless connection possibly along with the Escort Passport 9500ix radar detector. Thanks! Michael |

The Z4 has a perfect place for it, right behind the kidney grills. I'm sure you can find a way to mount it there, I did the same thing on my old car and it worked fine. But I will say it is a waste of money, and all you need is a good radar detector. And a funny thing, when I used to have a great radar detector I got a lot of tickets, now that I don't have one, I haven't gotten a ticket in years.

Let me tell you what I think....... Listen, within 28 days of taking delivery of this vehicle, they got me with laser. Easy as pie. So...do you need a jamming defence? Yup........... A location that's easily concealed? No idea. Let me know how you get on. Happy New Year. |

yeah, i would definitely go for getting a laser jammer but my problem is that my BMW z4 is a leased car, not owned. I decided to lease instead because before I have typically wanted a new car every 3 - 4 years but I do LOVE my z4 so I might just buy it at the end of the lease but I'm not 100% sure (might want to get into the new z4 at that point).
So I don't want to have to do any drilling or anything that could potentially cause any issues later at the end of my lease so I might just go with the Escort Passport 9500ix radar detector for now? I've read that it actually picks up laser as well (although not sure how many seconds in advance of actually getting lased). - Michael |

In the modern times, cell phones have become an essential part of our life. You will be out of fashion if you have no cell phone. One hand, you can send massages and make phones to your friends or your colleagues with phones at any time in any places. On the other hand, we will enjoy our life with it, such as listening to music, playing games, taking photos, recording a vedio, suffering the internet, etc. But more and more people are using cell phones at the expense of public interest. They talk aloud over the cell phones, the endless ringtones sounded everywhere. How to cope with the noises of cell phones in public has drawn public attentions in many places of the world. Do we have to force ourselves to listen to the noise generated by cell phones? Of course not, cell phone jammer is a useful tool for us to deal with the noise pollution.I have bought one for my convenient life, so if you have the same problem with me, you can come to get one. You will find the cool of it.
