Lux angel eyes, NO problem with fitting.
Hey guys,
I wanted to ask if anyone has same problem as mine. The right bulb of LUX angel eyes H8 just does not fit properly (doesn't lock in the proper position). I've been struggling with that for hours, trying to make it look somehow good. The light distribution is just uneven comparing inner (brighter) and bigger outter (dimmer) "eye". The only way to make it look better on my car is tighten it with anything possible, (I've just put a piece of foam between the bulb and plastic). Otherwise bulb just falls of a socket on the first bump. I had MTEC and other aftermarket bulbs there and fitment was perfect for those. LUX representatives claims that nobody ever stated this kind of problem. Thanks for you input! Be safe on the roads! PROBLEM IS RESOLVED. Only the amber LUX H8 have this problem and it can be solved by slight trimming of the inside tabs in one of the headlights. Last edited by entrepreneur177; 04-20-2012 at 02:28 PM.. |

Oh, that's great. Lux says you're the only one to have this problem and they leave you high and dry? Great customer service. Return it and get something else that works, my advice.

Looking forward to seeing how this goes as well since LUX seems to be the best option out there right now and I was somewhat tempted to make the purchase a week ago.

I bought them couple of month ago, had no chance to testfit them. I constantly go back and forth LA-Moscow. I had no clue that LED(!!!) with cost of $245 could have any problems fitting to the car. So, I gues it's kind of late to return it unfortunately.

Haha, the Z4 love is worldwide.
I reside in the Los Angeles area. No offense to anyone but there is no better place to own a roadster than this place.

Century City and Santa Monica are good places to just cruise around with the top down, especially now that the weather is getting warmer once again.

Jparnes, I just don't think it's a good test. The 3 series and newer models are always going to have the bright lights, and I didn't think E89's are destined to have the high brightness of the 3 series. Not at least until there is a revision to the range....

the OP's original issue has been resolved through e-mail with us The OP had a set of LUX H8 Amber angel eyes and those were never designed to fit in the headlight without modifications. Easy solution

White LUX H8 should fit properly, according to company representative. To conclude - after trying several angel eyes options, I guess they are the brightest one on the market and I recomend it to everybody. Please close this thread. |
