Frozen out!

Went to go to work this morning and both doors were frozen! Electric windows wouldn't drop as they'd frozen to the frame. After a couple of jugs of warm water around the seals I was soon inside and on my way, but this shouldn't happen.

So much for all the winter testing that BMW carry out!! Incidentally, it was only -6 degrees C, so I don't know how Z4 drivers get on in Scandinavia, Russia, Canada etc. with lower temperatures.

I'm still in love with my Z4 tho'

Hi,
Had same problem, I just gently forced the door open!
Don't think there's a problem with that?

Same thing happened to me this evening. The door was slightly reluctant to open and the window to drop. Might need to treat the rubber seals with something to help stop the glass sticking.

try a bit of talcum powder on the window just above the weather seal, should keep it from sticking and won't mess up the glass like most liquids
