I've never stalled. BUT at times whenever I come to a slow rolling stop the car will shake a bit right before coming to a complete stop. Feels like it's going to stall. The second I take my foot off the brake it's fine. It's worse when making a sharp turn pulling into a parking spot.

I don't think so, because this hasn't happened in my car and i have the DCT....
It isn't normal to almost stall when coming to a stop regardless of what gearbox you have... unless it is a 3 pedal manual and there is user error |

My car has a history of recurring issues. I reported similar issues:
1. After stopping at a stop light and ready to go, the vehicle hesitated to move 2. Another time, I stopped at a stop light and when ready to go, the vehicle didn't respond (I did hit the gas pedal :-)) When I took for service, they didn't find any faults. So they reset some adaptation values and cleared faults. They said no faults and also cleared faults. What are they I don't know. But I didn't notice these issues after that. |

Same thing happened to me last month. Car stalled at the traffic light, most of the time, the rpm drops to 400 when it comes to near complete stop. Went to dealer, they updated the software, adjust to 100 rpm higher. Never stall again. But sometimes still have the rpm drop, not as low as before tho. not even near the stall point anymore.
Below were the errors before went into dealer: Engine module Current Fault Codes 29E1: 29E1 fuel mixture control 2 Error will cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed Signal or value below threshold Freeze Frame Information Odometer 52728kms 32763miles Engine temperature 101.25 °C air mass calculated 293.00 mg/stk Engine speed 1,600.00 rpm matching inlet valve model (factor) 1.13 - 29E0: 29E0 fuel mixture control Error will cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed Short circuit or signal interruption Freeze Frame Information Odometer 52776kms 32793miles Engine temperature 51.00 °C air mass calculated 108.52 mg/stk Engine speed 640.00 rpm matching inlet valve model (factor) 1.04 - Gearbox control unit Current Fault Codes CF35: Messages from CAS don't exist Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed Timeout Dynamic stability control DXC8 Plus - E90 Current Fault Codes D35A: PT-CAN: Message KLEMMENSTATUS (ID 0x130) not received. See the recall notice concerning stalling just posts. Coincidence?

Rough idle is one of the reasons I dropped her off this morning. Also, every 10-15 starts my starter would make a loud grinding noise. Same sound a car makes if you ever double started one by accident. We'll see.

They didn't even get a chance to look at my car today. Still sitting at the shop. Gonna be a long weekend! I did I get a 2014 X1 28i for a loaner. Guess I'll have some fun with that while I have it.
