JOY is BMW
Let's express the JOY with your BMW here
My first JOY was back in 1978 when I got my first BMW 3 series E21. With 12 years of JOY, color changed 3 times Beige-Blue-White After that I stuck to BMW followed by S5 E28, S3 E30, S5 E34, S5 E39, S3 E36, S5 E60 and finally Z4 E89. A lot of stories happened, Love, happiness, sadness, terrible things, good times but most of all JOY is happening for more than 30 years now. Please share your JOY here

Over the years have had a host of different "fun cars" - Opal GT, Marcos, MGB, XKE, Dino 246 GTS, XJ12L, Corvette, & Starion
My first BMW was a 2002 330Ci. When driving this car it gave the feeling of becoming a "unit of one - pure joy." From this day forward, decided I would always have a BMW. Second BMW was a 2006 M3, now followed by my 2010 35i. |

I have also owned some nice fun cars, but my real joy came in 1998 when I bought a 1998 2.8 Z3. I, too, for the first time felt as one with the car. I had never been brand loyal before the Z3, but after that I knew that I could never drive anything but a BMW. My shiny red Z3 was truly the first car that I was in love with. I kept that car for 5 1/2 years and sold it for a 2003 Sterling Gray Z4. I am now on my third Z4 and it just keeps getting better. This 2010 Z4 surpasses all of my other BMW's in every aspect. The joy goes on...................

Huh?? My first Bmw was only 1998! That would make it 12 years in May. I only had two cars before the Z3 and one I only kept for 18 months! I'm still in my thirties!

Haven't shared with you all cars that I've had over the past 47 years, just listed my "fun cars," did overlook one, a Lancia Appia. My very first car was a 1950 Pontiac, with an in-line 6, so almost 40 years later am driving in-line 6's again.

Damn, some of you had niiiice cars
I'm pretty young compared to most of you guys. I've only driven BMWs since I got my license so I've been enJOYing myself since the beginning. 05 e90 330i - This was my mums car but I guess it could be considered as my first Bmw as I drove it most of the time. 06 e53 X5 3.0d - Parents car again, drove it quite often. 04 e46 M3 - Technically my first car. and now, 09 e89 Z4 T |

i guess i'm a "late bloomer". we got the 3er while i was deployed...i was 28 and got the Z at 29. Age aside, i am a bonifide fanboy now, but I can see that i'm in good company and my fanboy status isn't a bad thing at all...at least when it comes to BMW. other fanboy status' include; quad .50 cal mounts, MK19's, and tracer rounds...all a little less socially acceptable and definitly not mountable on my Z, but god...that would be awesome...
