This is something new, in addition to the existing dynamic guidance (that routes around traffic).

You mean the burning hot sensation on the wheel after ~2 minutes is not enough to remind you the heating function is still activated?

No, the element is not built into all steering wheels. And you can get it with ///M models, now.
Hater.. I forgot if I turned it off sometimes.

I had it on my last f30. When it was actually cold outside, the heated steering was useless. It took a few MINUTES to become even noticeable. By the time it was actually working, your hands and the heat from the A/C had already warmed the wheel sufficiently.

Similar to my wife's Subaru heated seats. So slow and weak. By the time you feel any heat from them, your body temperature had warmed the seat for you. Pretty useless in both cases actually. Would not order again.

WOW - I suspect something was wrong with your car. This is such an incredible option and the only time I've ever seen it be slow is when it is less than 0 F out. Even then it is providing some heat within 5 minutes or so. Unless the F30 just has a really crap heated wheel. I do laugh however when people say "I have a pair of gloves they work fine" - to those I say "then you have never tried a heated steering wheel "

This is potentially huge.. does this mean you can program the steering to stay at say a "Sport plus" setting like Porsche does with their cars? every time you start the car?

The whole steering/different chassis setting is really such a disaster since the F30 came out...
+1, I hope that's what it is. I'm assuming enough people complained to make it separate that they decided you can permanently change it.

Argh, my car went into production just as this was being rolled out. It was at the paint shop stage on July 15. I wonder if it made the cutoff date. I guess I'll find out when the ship gets here.

Not even 5 minutes. My Dodge has both heated seats and wheel, and the steering wheel heats up to warm within 15-20 SECONDS. Seats I start feeling after about 45 seconds. Friend's BMW (2012 3-series) has heated seats but not the wheel, but they heat up within a minute or so as well.

[QUOTE=SBasinger;16454733]I recently got my car back from having it coded for the M Performance brakes, now I have a heated steering wheel indicator. I'm not sure if this is the new one, or if the new one is a persistent icon. Mine disappears after about 5 seconds.

[/

did you code yourself ? do you know if you can get NCD file for kombi ?
