Help with trunk trim on e89

I could use some help removing the top 2 screws on the center trunk trim, trying to install a rear camera on 2013 e89 and need access behind the license plate and wiring of license plate wiring. I tried using a trim tool and a small screwdriver sideways on them but they don't move at all. Is there a tool for those screws?

I used a pair of needle nose pliers, just be sure you apply equal pressure onto the bolt before twisting. They were not very tight.
After you get them removed, along with all the snap fasteners, you will find it
does take some work to remove the panel. But keep working it, be patient and it will come out. There was a cable that goes to the outside thru a water proof gromet, I used that for my cable, had to cut into it, and used RTV to reseal when finished. Good luck, and have fun!

Hmm...after hitting them sideways with a screwdriver and a small hammer quite a few times and they didn't budge, it appeared to me they were very tight, I decided to reach here for some ideas next. Will try needle nose pliers and anything else to see if I can loose them up. Thx

I do not think you will slide off, as Robbie mentioned, if you have a good pair of needle nose pliers, and be sure you apply equal pressure onto the bolt before twisting.
I am sure there is a tool designed for this, but will most likely be pricey!

But exactly this is not required, using the "snap ring pliers".

That's my standard tool for it: just turn it to the left for opnening these metal plates. No pressure and no hammer is required.

I doubt those pliers will work, at least not the first time you remove those screws, they are tight.

Get the correct tool if a hammer is too complicated, like in the image. A "C spanner", also known as a "crescent wrench"
