I totally recommend spraying the 3M eventhough it took practices and wasted about a $100 total mistake. End result was a pretty good protection on the front bumper and mud guards area since I don't like the look with the mud guards.
Here are two pictures of the mistakes I made during application. 1) when I tried to spray the whole front hood. I didn't have enough spray in the center portion of the hood as you can tell from the first picture; it's more simi glossy or matt. so I had to peel it out 2) then when I sprayed evenly and sprayed too much, you can tell from the second picture that it dripped when dried. 3) third picture is just to show you the areas of the hood I sprayed that finally worked well. I finally decided to just to spray u to 20" from the front hood and that worked great and I have been trying to take picture of that, but you can't tell from the picture of the where the cut off line is especially in space gray, it's almost camera flash and blend in to the original paint. I will try takng a picture where you can see at the finish product. so stay tune I totally recommend doing it although it's a pain in the butt sometimes. Make sure you spray enough so that it's looks evenly wet in all direction. and I recommend doing only 1/3 of of the front hood. I did the whole bumper, and mud guarded areas. |

It's very easy to peel off if you have a thick layer spray which mean, it looks wet before it dries. If the layer is think, then you could spray on top of it after dry, that works for me.

Here are two pictures of finished application. Like I said before, it's really hard to tell after the application is dried especially when you did a great job of spraying the right amount of 3M. If you look at the first picture carefully, you can see the line from the hood 20" from the front. But my friends can't even tell until I tell them!
