I would, but I work for BMW so I stare at these things all the time. I just want to get in the 35i, put the top down, and drive somewhere the second I get it.

come track with us on Saturday

Going up there will be like a mini vacation, but you'll also be able to enjoy driving your BMW as it was meant to be driven!

Original dealer delivery date was 7/5 but they must have scratched it at the port or something because it got pushed back to 7/11

I'll probably have it Tuesday. I have like 5 people at my dealership looking out for the second my car gets here so I can put it straight in the shop.

Nate, CARMEL!!
We used to live in Simi Valley, 4hrs30mins from Simi To Carmel the hard way. take 126 from Valencia to 101 north to San Luis Obispo. Stay on Hwy 1 to Morrow Bay and continue north past San Simeon. The stretch from Ragged Point to Carmel is my most favorite 98 miles 'anywhere' . Check to see if Hwy 1 is open, they had a bit of the road drop into the Pacific a while back. This time of year may be a bit cold and foggy too. Fall and Spring are better.

A long trip but from Lewiston, Idaho to Missoula, Mt via U.S. 200 along the Clearwater River that could possibly be one of the most beautiful and remote drives in the lower Forty Eight, but 101 is terrific.

Highway 12 from Missoula to Lewiston is a pretty nice road too. I've only been on it twice, both times on a bike, not in a car.

You can walk down to the Ocean and check out all the shops on both sides of Ocean Ave. The cookie store on the south side is Killer! Clint Eastwood's steakhouse is just north of Ocean Ave (Hogs Breath Inn). On San Carlos between 5th and 6th. GREAT place. Lots of unique shops for your GF.

http://www.hogsbreathinn.net/

If you can time it around a race or a Concours event, Laguna Seca is just a little East toward Salinas. We were there during the Ferrari Event one year and we just sat on the street benches and ate cookies and watched the Ferrari's running up an down Ocean.

I just checked with Caltrans, it's open with one lane of traffic just north of Sur for 1/2 mile.

Monterey is just 10 miles north of Carmel, Cannery Row.

Do you track a Z4?

I wonder how a stock Z4 35i(with run flat and all) will do on track day?
