Faulty seat belt retractor?
Many times when I get in my car the seat belt will not unspool so that it can be attached. There is absolutely no slack in it, so jiggling or snapping it is not an option. I have tried putting the car in and out of gear, opening and closing the door and nothing seems to work. Then, after a while it will just release, unspool, and attaches normally. Yesterday this went on for so long I finally drove off without my belt and after a mile it just released so that I could put it on. I have had belts stick before and quickly snapping or jiggling the belt a little would typically release it to be connected.
Just wondering if I am missing something before I make an appointment. Thanks |

Probably just a defective inertia reel. Did you buy it from Clark? )
