Better Bass

Looking for better bass... have the DSP HiFi premium sounds system... looking for recommendations on perhaps just upgrading the door woofers...
Anyone done just those speakers? Any recommendations?

Changing the door woofers even on the 677 system yields good results..

The issue is that there are not many woofers in the conformal shape of the BMW mountings..

I use a plywood former to bridge that gap..glued n screwed into place…again you have to modify the connectors..

I’ve used Fosgate Punch on one E89 and this time used Audiotec Fischer Helix on this one.

Some people have used Hertz, Kicker and others..I can’t comment on those..

other than the plywood and connectors do you need to modify anything else. Interior looks stock? What size? Thanks!

No..6" s best avoid 6.5" fractionally too large with some fittings ..don't ask me how I know..having said that not many 6"

So chop of the BMW connector and solder some new flying leads to suit the new woofer..

Don't but a 2 way or3 way system as that will destroy the stereo image..just a woofer not a sub woofer..
