Where did you find that? It looks like an OEM steering wheel that has been re-modified with a flat bottom and added CF. Nice touch.

It looks thicker than an OEM M steering wheel. Looks great but I wouldn't pay $1599 plus give up my core steering wheel: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E89-Z4-C...2b1e89&vxp=mtr

I tried that steering wheel on flpnout's z.

I was actually considering buying the steering wheel off him if nobody takes over my lease, but then I have DCT

It looks nice, but I don't think I could use it with all those changes in edges and materials. Warm leather then cold carbon, then edges where they meet etc... I'm planning on just getting mine rewrapped in leather or alcantara. I'd love the latter but I'm not sure about how it would wear.

OEM M Steering wheel new is about $600 to $700 range: http://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/p...307842924.html

So the CF M steering wheel is double the price.

Yes that's my steering wheel I bought from www.bimmian.com.

And yes, I need to hardwire my radar detector. Any volunteers to do it for me for a meal?

I don't think it works with heated steering. I would give them a call just to make sure.
