BMW Performance 313 Wheels - Tire Size

I am looking to change my wheels for 313s.

but i want to also ditch the runflats and put some serious rubber.

BMW recommended tire size for the 313 is:

Front: 225/35-19

Rear: 255/30-19

but this is a hard size to find in non runflat.

What other tire sizes can i install without the need for any modifications (spacers,...) ?

thanks in advance for your input

If you go with 275 in the rear you will loose some of the super low profile look. I know cause I'm running 275 in the rear. I was willing to sacrifice on looks to gain some extra profile height and better wheel protection.

What do you guys think about going 18" front, 19" rear?

I believe the 313 are available in both sizes.

you need all 4 to be 18" or 19" but not a mix of both - get the 19s with "regular" tires (i.e. do not buy RFTs)

Those sizes are readily available for the ContiSportContact 5p tire

I ordered them for my summer setup ...

313 style is available in an 18 x 8 & 18 x 8.5 (36116791998 & 36116791999) with 34/37 F/R offsets - not exactly per stock offset of 29/40. So you will probably want to run a spacer on the rear if you go with these.

Your tire choice and handling will be better with the 18". I love the look of the 296's However I'm considering replacing the 296's with 18" configuration when I burn down the RFT's. There are other 18" options FYI - http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480610

They would fit a M3 just fine ... my winter rims are M3 replica rims (my winter set is 18x8 with 40 Offset - my summer set so far is stock 19" wheels 296 Style).

Post some pictures once you get the new wheels and tires set up.
