If you are talking about the Z3 then yes. A couple pin installs and a connector base and that is it. Needs two people to sit the top onto the vehicle and align it but it was fairly easy. As for the E85 not sure about it. The E89 of course has a hardtop already but if you are trying to make it into a permanent coupe then i suppose you could do that by disconnecting the roof motor etc.

Just being curious, so I will turn the question the other way:
Anyone heard of "ultralight hardtop e89 panels/mechanism? I mean for example carbonfiber panels or folding mechanism components (to replace OEM made of steel) in aim to reduce its weight dramatically but with leaving its wonderfull diversity intact (open air vs. hardtop within a single package) ......
