When you wash your hair like four times then you ask yourself, didn't I just do this?
On a positive note: My scalp is squeaky clean.

Yes! I am teaching at a local university and know the feeling well...

You'd be surprised how many young girls would love a piece of your old asses.

I don't know what it is, but I think it's that "touch of grey".

You'd be surprised how many old asses have lost their jobs trying to figure which girls those are.

Yeah, we laugh, but you know you're getting old when you finally accept that you're no longer in that game and haven't been for years. Decades, even. I'm one step from the pinnacle of what my career will be and I *still* feel like I'm not sure what I'll be when I grow up. Mentally I feel as young as ever. It's just this old bag of bones that's betraying me more each year. It's a very old saying, but if I *only* knew back in my 20's what I know now. And not just about love and sex, but about money and self control and critical thinking. When I think of all the stupid things I did and the opportunities I missed....Gawd.

I mean I just discovered single malt Scotch this year. WTF took me so long?

I am getting a few odd greys pop up and I find myself plucking them out with tweezers. I don't know what I'd do if I ever starting balding.

Yes I am vain.

When you locate grey hairs in your eyebrows, nose or nutsack... Yeah, you're getting up there.

I've had kids, so body will never be the same, I've been through the doubt my son is not going to be a kid, but more of a veggie, I've buried the one man who loved me with all my faults (dad) and I've seen myself through it all.

Being old, it's not age, it is being wise enough to understand that the things we've seen alters us. It's also the feeling of completely giving up on expectations, and just being so damn happy.

Do as I did, get yourself a midlife crises early, and just see what you are made of.
God, Lups.. don't make me face my problems, ok? Let me hide for a bit longer..

There are young men, and wise men.. but no young wise men.

I feel every second slipping by like a needle in my spine now.. thanks guys.

Old man moment - start giving young cashiers/servers attitude for bad service and feel like I have a seniority 'right' to do so.. and they don't make casual talk with me anymore - generation gap

You know your old when you hand a clerk an "old style" penny and ask them what year it is (can't read date without changing glasses). They say "1956 that's ancient!" your response is I was 6 then!

In the Latin tradition, once the old dude has made his money, that's when the young senioritas start to notice how distinctive he looks, how suave and debonair.

Yes, my imagination still works. . .

Wait, why did I come in here???

I'm 36, and I have a 19 year old "lady friend" that I see every other weekend or so, If I don't have other plans lined up.

Lets just say that I can have fun with her after a few drinks (always start the party before she arrives) but after the alcohol and testosterone
leaves my body... lets just say it gets a little painful to maintain a conversation with this young lady.

She is definitely easy to look at, genuinely sweet and shows a great deal of intelligence, but life experience and independence she has not, as of yet. It can prove difficult to form a deep connection with someone who hasn't really experienced many of the "common" life trials that everyone faces eventually regardless of political/religeous/financial/ethnic/cultural backgrounds.

Needles to say, we can have a bit of fun when we spend time together, but I usually fiind ways to keep that time limited to a certain degree.
