Movies on the nav
So is there a way to play a movie on your navsceen while the car is parked. Most likely I am doing this wrong but figured I would put a movie on a memory stick plug it in. I keep all my music in my car on 64gig memory stick. Selecting the movie I could hear the audio but alas no video showed up, there a way around this?

I don't think you can play a movie from a stick. I know you can get audio from the movie, but not the image. From page 149 of the manual, these are the formats supported. I don't see anything there for MP4 (for example).
Playable formats ▷ DVD: DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVDRW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, DVD audio (video part only), DVD video*. ▷ CD: CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-DA, VCD*, SVCD*. ▷ Compressed audio files: MP3, WMA, AAC.

I have the Premium Sound system which included the optional 6 Disk/DVD player which is located in the glove box. It plays music CD's and also DVD movies, ONLY when the Z is in the Park position. I want to get the car programmed for "DVD In Motion" so as to be able to have the movies play under way.

Yeah, car is wired for 6 disk DVD but since I dont own 1 move and just download everything there really is no reason to get that. No worries was just a thought.

....ahhh, except that was about 40 years ago, and we didn't have phones or movies or Sport + in cars. |

Search the below named post dated 4-1-2010 and there is a video showing the location in the glove box of the tab to PUSH to drop down the DVD player. It is a 1:26 minutes into the video.

works for me
I'm not sure if it's related to optional equipment etc. But I sometimes play music video on my nav screen through iphone (connected through USB), even played movies once or twice. I had my video i motion unlocked a while back but I don't think it's the issue. I also *think* I got it working through a stick too, but I'll check.
As to how, it's on the toolbar left of the screen that usually shows your cd art, with all the forward pause etc.. It's like this screen icon thing.. I thought it works this way with all the nav equipped cars, or am I talking nonsense? I'm new here, by the way. Hi to you all. |

Was the CD changer removed/integrated into the center console in later model years? Because unless mine got stolen, there is definitely no tab that I can pull down to reveal the CD changer.... |
