LSD for manual trans 3.5i
So I've been digging into the LSD. I blissfully figured $1k or so and install, and this would be a worthwhile thing to do. THen I discovered the ring gear is welded up. Anyone have a clue what it costs to get actually get an LSD in one of our cars? Any suggestions?

LSD FOR 35i
Hi, forelli,
I am having a Quaife ATB LSD fitted to my Z4 28i in June. My model 28i has a simple bolted crownwheel diff, whereas as you say your welded diff is more complicated. Click Birds BMW Quaife London and they will give you a full discription of exactly what is envolved, and the name Worldwide says it all. They are the best. Good luck from NW Scotland, regards, Richard. |

I have been running an M-Factory helical LSD for over 1 year and could not be happier. I purchased a complete prebuilt pumpkin as I did not want any finger pointing if anything went wrong in the future. Best price was "Black Friday" special. Install from an indy ran $400. M- factory communications with Stephen was excellent.
Tuned and running 435WHP and 470 lb/ft at wheels.

its 2600 shipped with the core charge. you get your 600 core charge back when you return your pumpkin. install is typically 300-400 for most reputable shops.
