So they rate the reception quality of their antennas and for the non-telescoping kind the best they have is 3.5out of 5. Have you noticed any less ability to pick up stations clearly?

No difference, i have the 3.5, i can say not one bit difference, i had the telescope type, wish i had not ,because it works great even when not extended
