How many bulbs do you need? Is it 2 per side?

Can someone post the link to the E92-lighting sight?

I emailed the ebay seller and he said I only need 2 bulbs, one per side. Just placed my order.

Is it a simple process to swap them out?

Thanks.

Does anyone know what the Kelvin rating of the stock angel eye bulbs are? Sounds like there is some consensus that the 4750k is a nice white color without being too blue of the higher (6000k and above) are. I'm just curious if anyone knows - I'm guessing something in the 3000-3500k range?

I have the same MTEC for sale if anyone is interested. I tried them on my car and decided to go with them. Asking for $15 shipped?

If I remember correctly, it should be 4300 kelvin

Also, it's one H8 bulb one each side

pretty easy to swap

Got my bulbs today. Quality control isn't good, or I've got a dud. One bulb is fine other is no different the OEM bulb. Even though they look identical they burn at different temperatures. Take a look.

I will get mine soon, as my dealer told me that it's quite sure is led technology inserted during headlamps standard pèroduction....so I cannot swap new bulbs woth my "old ones"...I can only swap my costly headlamps for newer ones...but it's not sure 2011 model z4s here in Italy will get the same treatment...
shame...

Do I use a small screwdriver to release the clips on the OEM bulbs? Don't want to take a chance and break anything. Thanks.

Yes a small screw driver will get it off, just be easy when you pry it.

Install was a piece of cake. Pics attached, but not the greatest. First one shows the difference in the 2 bulbs. Next 2 are with the new bulbs installed.

Big improvement over stock but looks a little yellow for the MTEC cosmos blue or did you get the superwhite ones?

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ht=cosmos+blue

Apparently some people have had mixed results mainly due to fake/imitation bulbs being sold.

I think it is 4350. Pic does not reveal the proper color. They are much whiter than the OEM bulbs. I'll take a pic tonight without a flash.

Don't know for sure, they appear genuine. Bought from ebay seller with very good feedback. I'm fine with the appearance as they are much whiter than the OEM bulbs and I did not want the "blue" effect. I was wrong, they are 4750K. See pic.

Mmm interesting, it could just be the camera then. The packaging looks genuine to me too.

A bit OT, but I will never forget the time I bought some Gilette fusion blades from a seller on ebay with a high rep. EVERYTHING looked genuine. They even had the serial number imprinted on the blades. I couldn't tell the difference.

Then I went to use one - I received a lot of cuts. Strange I thought. I still perservered.

Then one day about a couple of weeks later I dropped the shaver in the shower (usually happens!) and when I went to pick it up, I found the ebay blade had snapped in half.

This got me REALLY suspicious so I did more research on the net and after a few hours I discovered the serial numbers were related to fake blades. The blades were cheap steel made in a chinese factory (apparently evidenced by the tiny random casting dots on the face of the blades). They were indeed 100% fake blades, packaging the whole works. I complained to Ebay, the seller and Paypal, eventually receiving a refund.

Yes, unfortunately the Chinese and a few other countries have learned how to copy just about every product. When I go to NYC, I love to go to Chinatown just to see all of the counterfeit products being sold. Everything from Rolex watches to Coach handbags. Buyer has to beware.
