Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether there is a difference in throttle mapping and/or suspension/steering settings between Sport Mode and Sport+.
Is it only the traction/stability control settings that are changed between these two states? I generally drive in sport mode when I can (bad uk roads) but I want to know if I'm going up a level to sport+ would I be getting a bit more... Car in question is a 6spd manual sdrive23i... Thanks . |

Would you be getting a bit more what?
The drive control modes do not provide more power, they simply change when the car delivers the power. Comfort/Normal mode will shift later, to give better fuel economy. Sport will shift later and sport + later still. Just think of it as each mode up brings the power earlier in your actions. Holds gears longer, weights up the steering (and suspension if you have the optional dynamic shocks). Last edited by ManiacGT; 04-23-2013 at 09:22 AM.. Reason: typos |

What I mean is the throttle response.. It is significantly different from normal to sport but I'm not noticing much difference between sport and sport+..
This is a manual car so I'll hold on to the gear as long as I want Also, I think you mean that sport will shift LATER and Sport+ LATER still. |

Its different in the 35i DCT, sport and sport plus changes the shifting pattern again. As for the effect on the throttle pedal between sport and sport+, I have not noticed as its too bloody quick! Sport/Sport+, kickdown or manual full tilt = BOOOOOM.

Based on this and in my opinion, I don't think the throttle response, steering or suspension settings change from sport to sport+... Only changes will be the traction/dsc settings for manual cars... I think! |
