Yeah, I doubt I'll be parking next to too many others.
Of course, in the 7 years I drove a Sterling Grey e85 Z4, I never parked next to any other Z4 of any color. There aren't all that many out in the woods of New Hampshire. Think I'll be able to convince the local cops it wasn't me if someone sees a yellow Z4 doing anything naughty? |

Very nice car, unique for sure... I like it, though I am in general not a yellow car fan...
Guess would be hard to sell it, if one day you decide to do so?? |

Those must be your winter wheels I would assume? That's a hot color! It definitely stands out at the Welt. Glad it didn't come with Silver Mirror caps, that would have been tacky on this color.
If mineral white is a choice color that would be #1 and Atacama Yellow would have been 2nd choice had it been available at the time. Here are some photos I took at the BMW Welt on November 2010:

Yes. Those are super-cheap, 7 year-old 17" moda R1 wheels with my winter tires.
Agreed. They don't need to do anything to make this particular car stand out. I really couldn't care less if anyone else knows which model I'm driving. |

If you're on the fence about the color (whether to like it or not), I'd say go see it in person. I just about fell in love with the car when I saw it this past Thursday at the dealer.

Not my problem. It's leased. I'm not at all convinced that my pristine, Sterling Grey old Z4 is going to be at all easy to sell with only 42,000 miles. Roadsters aren't all that big around here. It wasn't the yellow I was uncertain about, it was more the flappy-paddle gearbox. I'm not usually a lease-y sort of guy, but in the this case, trading my old Z4 in and getting 0.9% BMW FS financing over 5 years would have resulted in a considerably higher payment than leasing this car for 3 years. If I end up liking it that much, I'll lease another Atacama one. If they no longer paint them that color and I simply must have it, I suppose I can always do an EOL purchase. |

I was only snow-bound for one day until they got the deep snow off the roads. I've driven it every other day, including 2 more snow days at my son's high school.
My driveway is going to look like that until April at least. We've had a 4" snowfall on May 18. That's no reason to stop enjoying the Zettie. |
