Should I call cops on a neighborhood driver....?

Guy lives down at the end of the street. Drives a escalade with completely blacked out windows (even front windshield). Drives down the neighborhood street going about 40-45mph EVERY damn time. Mind you it's a long road,but he decided to buy a house on the end. Sh!t just pisses me off.

I don't even know what the police would say, but its so annoying

Assuming you're not a part of a HOA, I'd start with sending him a letter first. Just leave it at his door. If he continues to speed up and down you're street, then I'd call the cops. They may send out a cruiser to sit on your street for some time if you specify what time he usually does it..don't ask me how I know lol but I have zero tolerance for wreckless driving in residential areas, only takes one kid to run out onto the road.

i live in an apt complex and at around 2 am last night i swear someone was sitting in their car listening to music. I thought about calling the cops but i took a peep outside 3 or 4 times trying to figure out which car it was.and couldn't see anything suspicious.

I know these people a couple neighborhoods over, and they requested the township to put speed bumps in front of their house. They were tired of people speeding 50+ (35 Limit) in front of their house.

These are freaking HUGE speed bumps too, that have a 15 MPH sign on them. They are pain in the arse.

Go to his house and talk to him about how there's kids playing around the neighborhood. See if he slows down, if he doesn't he needs a good ass kicking. There was one guy in my neighborhood who always use to speed down in his GL450 Benz until he almost hit a girl on her bike and the dad came out and gave him a good ass kicking and his wife had to break it up lol

In a residential neighborhood, it does matter if someone is doing 40-45 in a 30. You have TWICE as much energy to scrub off; can anyone guess what this means for braking distances? Now if it's a 30 zone where there aren't any blind drives or kids running around, that's a different story IMO.

OP, leave him a note or knock on his door and sort it out.

Well it is also assumed that he is going 40-45. I remember always thinking people were going 35-40 down my 25 road until I had somebody drive by at 25, 30 and 35. To the untrained eye, it looks faster than it really is. Not saying that OP isn't telling the truth, this could also be a factor.

If the person is doing 40-45 however, yes, talking to him and sorting it out would be a good thing to do. Maybe others have noticed it too and have taken issue with it. With more than one letter/knock on the door, he may get the hint. Don't gang up all at once, but separate occasions would get the point across.

A friend who had an issue with kids using the street behind his house as their private drag strip used this.
He used nothing more than liquid nails to put it down in middle of the day....any dumb ass willing to this this at 45mph will feel it in their ass!
