Brake pad service won't reset.

Some months ago pad wear warning came up.
Odd as i have only done 10k since I replaced pads and sensor.
Put off investigating until service showed -400 miles (and the weather warmed up a bit).

On investigation pad wear was down to 6 mm and wear sensor had barely been touched. The copper contact only just visible.
Disc at wear limit at 52k miles, so all replaced, discs, pads, sensor and brake fluid.
Problem won't reset and now jumped to -1400 miles!

Even local garage that remaps BMW, VW etc. can't reset or find anything wrong.
Sometimes I can get the little clock turning then 'bong' back to -1400
Giving every indication of some sort of software glitch or is there a problem with aftermarket sensors? The one fitted is Pagid brand.
Might try one from dealership first.

Trying to put off going to dealership, any suggestion, no matter how wacky?

Having now searched the internet looks like both sensors front and rear need replacing at same time or bridge the existing front sensor using the old rear plug and wires joined. Will try next.

I had the same thing happen to me. I replaced my brakes and sensors and everything. Ran through the reset programming on the dash by using the odo button and drove around the block the car seemed to buck a second and then the indicator came back. I pulled the sensors and everything back off and looked everything over and all was good. even swapped a spare rear sensor for the front to test with sill nothing. Turned out the regular maintenance indicator came on not the brake sensors. My brain incorrectly put one and one together and got three. So a quick service and reset of the indicator and voila off and running. It is funny though that the car seems to buck slightly when an indicator like that comes on.

When my warning came up I closed the idrive screen and it wouldn't reopen, until the ignition had been turned off then back on, strange.

Now ordered some software and cable, see if I can do a 'Hard reset'.
