How Much Will Dealers Come Off Their Advertised Price?
I'm in the market for a Z4 35i (w/ M Sport pkg) or 35is.
My title kind of says it all, do any of you guys have a feel or past experience on what dealers will come off their advertised price on AutoTrader and/or Cars.com? I know every situation is unique, but what do you guys think I should expect or realistically offer? I know the sales of new Z4's really dried up at the end or their run this past year, do you guys think that it's the same with the used cars? Thank you. |

Got both my z4 in 2013 and x3 last year for ~$500 off advertised price. Both bought used from BMW dealers. Both had also just been priced adjusted as well, so that came into play.

Bought an x3 from a UK dealer.
Sticker price £33000. After a lot of haggling, settled on £31800, so I would say 5% is a realistic target. Remember, the Z4 is a very much niche vehicle. The customers for a 2 seater car are far and few between, so the balls in your court. Whats the worst that could happen? You offer 5% off advertised price and they say no? ...... but what if they say yes? |
