Warm Bodies Z4 sDrive35is Ad Spot

BIMMERPOST NEWS
Warm Bodies Z4 sDrive35is Ad Spot

COMMENTS

Here's an ad spot cross-promoting the just released zombie movie Warm Bodies and the BMW Z4 sDrive35is.

Its tagline asks: “What makes you feel the most alive?” The answer of course is the Z4 sDrive35is, with its 335hp N54 inline 6 engine and performance suspension.

I can understand zombies for ad purpose (or barely..) but not why the car is dirty!
Even in Pitbull and Marc Anthony clip, it is dirty.
It seems very hard for them to maintain it clean

BMW needs to do a remix of this that rearranges it so the R's heart starts to beat when he drives the car.

Eh? Not one of BMW's finest advertisements it must be said! I think something more simple and car focused like these 3 are best. But mind you, I (and we) are car and BMW enthusiasts so I suppose we would want to see more car than... bullshit.

6 Series Gran Coupe - great music (New Dawn Fades by Moby) and no misleading bullshit, just cool and powerful imagery to match a cool and powerful car.

3 Series Saloon - relevant to the London 2012 Olympics when it was on our screens in the UK and maintains the brand's (particularly 3 Series') synonymity with athleticism, balance and performance.

The range and EfficientDynamics - showing it's age now with the old 6 Series and 1 Series but it's all cars, no bullshit, and is almost a thank you to us loyal and welcomes who are new (those going to act on the adverts) - "joy has a fan club, it's contagious"

Although I am glad they ditched the whole "Joy" thing! Ultimate Driving Machine is much better slogan.

These are my opinions anyway - I just like a car advert to be a car advert, not a zombie film. Car's, BMW especially can demonstrate their other features and generate just as much, if not more interest! High Beam Assist on the F01/F02 7 Series and F30/F31 3 Series for instance - I would be pushing that like mad because it's one of those features that just makes you smile with how awesome it is.

That was... underwhelming. Why couldn't they have used a Z4 in the gangnam style music video?

Because they didn't want to strap a dog crate to it, that's why.

Guys, the whole clip is a movie trailer for Warm Bodies, not a dedicated commercial for the Z4. Since the car is in the movie, it also ends up as some advertising for BMW.

So it's either a shite advert or shite product placement.
The car could do something a little more interesting than driving on an vast runway, in a straight line, performing moderate transient acceleration. And no bugger bothered to clean it!

If I had an extra $75K lying around the house, the Z4 would be my summer only car to drive to work. Not the most nimple of all cars but dam cool to be seen in.

Poor product placement maybe, but I doubt washing a car would be high on anyone's priority list when living in a zombie apocalypse like is taking place in the movie.

'Twilight' meets Zombies. Terrible movie, awful product placement.

Might as well put BMW in the next Seth Rogan movie if you're gonna try to be this lame.

Ps: The dirty car is the cheaper alternative to the frozen paint. Looks more Mad Max too lol

Agreed. Terrible product placement, and just so obvious bam in your face, it's not even good. Does BMW really want to increase sales of the Z4 so bad? This trailer, that Rain On Me song by Pitbull I believe... that new Omar something song.. I know there's another song with the Z4 in it. There's another movie too, forgot the name.

The SLK? Gangstam style. And not obvious in your face either.

To get the car detailed during the zombie apocalypse would cost you at least an arm and a leg.
