EVO magazine review - mixed feelings!
EVO magazine states some intesting remarks.
Apart from usual whining about it being heavy they give BMW shit about: unpleasant understeer (in tight corners; they say when accelerating out of a corner the rear grips so well the front end goes) the engine being mounted too far at the front!!(Audi-ish style) Huh... Conclusion: It's just their opinion. To be honest, I'm not surprised. Evo is a magazine for car-mad racers. People who either track their car, visit the Nurburgring at least once a year, or take their cars down a country lane for a rag about. Basically, it's for people who drive just for the sake of driving. The Evo journo reviewing the car no doubt wanted a better version of the existing Z4, hoping that it was something closer to or better than the Boxster, but go something completely different (or different enough for them to be disappointed). Talking of the Nurburgring, I wonder what the fastest time is with the new Z4? Also, I can't wait for the Stig to take it around the Top Gear test track. That should be interesting. We all know Clarkson will hate it... |

I heard from an inside source that BMW predicts most of the sDrive 35i's sold will have the DCT box added as an option.

Oh yes...
But as much as I love watching Top Gear, since I have already ordered my 23i I couldn't care less about what Clarkson says about the new Z4. I will just have to make sure that I can forget his comments the minute he says them. |

You are right. I am also very happy about the car being more comfortable than the old one.
However, this understeer issue bothers me.. You know I hate understeer but unfortunately I became an expert because I have an AUDI. Quote:

Yes!! that is a nice review
Why having a car more confortable is a crime ?? futhermore you can switch to Sport + if you want. The engine is amzing. the design is perfect and the interior is premium quality.. |

If you want a pure roadster, order the car with no options apart from the M suspension and keep it set to Sport+. This will give you a very sporty car while all others (myself included) can enjoy the comfort while cruising around. |

Or you buy it with the standard suspension and take a look at Bilstein, Koni or KW...
And by the way what are the specs for a "PURE ROADSTER"... Compared to a Lotus the Z4 is a luxury car... Grtz Ramius |
