X-kitty Downpipe Fix

Hey guys,

I have ordered an AR design catless downpipes and a x-kitty Downpipes fix by Wedge performance. So my question is that I have to install/uninstall when I need it or is it okay to run all the time with dp fix ?

The DP fixes aren't meant to be ran 100% of the time, just when needed.

I thought DP fixes would be a solution for CEL too, I am running with jb4 and I know there is a auto clear option which will erase the CEL, but this is not something I am willing to do, while my car is giving me some trouble codes in these days.

believe the JB4, like Cobb, just hides the CEL. you will still have the code.
The DP fix simulates ready status to the ECU so that you have no codes when you get an emissions test.

When I ran the Wedge Fix + Cobb Stage 2+ I had issues. It was throwing codes because both units didn't pal along nice. Once I removed the dp fix I never saw the code again.

I plan to uninstall the cobb and plug in dp fix for emission in October. Keep the dp fix for when the time comes.

I installed dp fix for emission, it was throwing 2C31 and 2C32 which means it is too strong. Put it in minimum now it is throwing 2CB8 and 2CB9. Do you remember what was your setting ?

I actually don't have emissions test until this October. But on e90post there should be a tutorial thread.

We're in the middle of doing my car, which includes the VRSF DP fix ... curious to see how it works.

Tried every single setting with wedge and vrsf one, drove more than 1000miles with different settings, but didn't work. I am not sure if these things work with z4. I am about to give up and install the cats back

I never needed it - likely because MHD takes care of things for you ;-)

Mind explaining it further?
I've catless downpipe and and reflashed Map0 with "catted/OEM DP" to go for emissions. It is throwing codes for catalytic converter. How would it ever pass emissions?

I think that's a stock map, take to Map 1, and that should automatically fix that light for you. At the time in DFW, we had exhaust testing and this passed as-is. The 2nd cat cleaned up things enough to pass.
